Capitalism is (not a
science! it is) a lawless unsustainability. Monsanto is a thief of historical
recollection insofar as it is the corporation that destroys organic seeds and
mutates the genetic code of life to patent reality! Oh my! And WOW. This
company has gone so far into the poisonous process that it is attempting to
criminalize* natural farming

My thought is that, according to corporate charter, anything that might inhibit profit is a crime.
Although, I am curious as to how profit became so inextricably tied to only that which harms life. In order for this to happen (taking the most sentimental sense of the word, profit), one would have to assess benefit and cost in a totally backwards fashion.
