Have
you ever stood in a clear cut?A place
devoid of old growth? It is a disaster. A wreckage. It is dry and meaningless.
The cycle is broken and what scant debris left is drifting away homeless.
Having stood in clear cuts, or near them, I have often sought words to describe what I am seeing and feeling. Like any mother and father, I suppose we expect the Mother Earth or almighty Nature to be ever-enduring and undaunted. She, though with great sorrow and agony, might endure Her rape and violation, but the question is, can we?
it is sad. and they way people misunderstand it! the twisted ways they find to justify it! the insensitivity - as a species we are still so utilitarian - so bloody utilitarian !!!!!!!!!!
